Much of the ad copy I write, I’m not allowed to promote. I’ve signed NDAs that make me part of a team, and anyway, I am. Even if I’m assigned a role of copywriter, the text is not all coming from me and I would rather not take full credit. Many people/assumptions about audiences/actors are involved, so this is not exactly my writing, but a group effort, like screenwriting, but more one-note, necessarily. Here, for example, are a couple monologues I lately “wrote,” in collaboration with the photographers/producers of their ads (before music or styling was locked in, mind you):
